A warm cream white with a very fine grain in sand, muted gold and grey, scattered densely and evenly across the whole slab. From across the room it reads as a warm white; up close the sand appears.

This is how to get the brightness of a white without its exposure: the grain hides crumbs and splashes far better than a solid white, and the warm tone gets along with timber and brass in a way a cool white does not.

Anova Quartz is an Israeli maker and importer based in Be'er Sheva, supplying engineered quartz with a high quartz content and a twelve-year warranty (registered online after installation). The quartz is non-porous — it will not absorb wine, lemon or oil, it never needs resealing, and soap and water handle the daily clean. Like all engineered quartz it is not heat-proof, so a hot pan goes on a trivet rather than on the worktop.
