Anova 5530

A pale, warm cream with a soft haze in the ground and tiny touches of muted gold and sand-brown scattered through it. Very quiet — but not empty, and in daylight those warm touches wake up.

It is close to 5510 in character, and the difference is the flecking: 5510 is entirely clean, while here there are warm points for the eye to land on. If you are torn between the two, it is worth seeing them side by side in the gallery.

Anova Quartz is an Israeli maker and importer based in Be'er Sheva, supplying engineered quartz with a high quartz content and a twelve-year warranty (registered online after installation). The quartz is non-porous — it will not absorb wine, lemon or oil, it never needs resealing, and soap and water handle the daily clean. Like all engineered quartz it is not heat-proof, so a hot pan goes on a trivet rather than on the worktop.
