An off-white leaning very slightly green, spread with a dense web of fine winding dark lines — not marble veining so much as something closer to cracks, or lace. The texture is completely even across the slab.

That density is its advantage: the web hides crumbs, water marks and signs of use far better than a clean white, and there is no direction to plan around. A white that looks white, but behaves like a patterned surface.

Anova Quartz is an Israeli maker and importer based in Be'er Sheva, supplying engineered quartz with a high quartz content and a twelve-year warranty (registered online after installation). The quartz is non-porous — it will not absorb wine, lemon or oil, it never needs resealing, and soap and water handle the daily clean. Like all engineered quartz it is not heat-proof, so a hot pan goes on a trivet rather than on the worktop.
