Nero Marquina

An intense Spanish black marble crossed by crisp white veins. Especially effective in bathrooms, cladding and kitchen islands where strong contrast is the goal. It needs slightly more careful maintenance, as light stains show easily.

In the kitchen shown it is installed as a waterfall island and as cladding behind the worktop, inside a matte black kitchen. The white veins are the only source of light in that scheme, and the linear lighting under the cabinets is there to catch them. Be aware that in a dark kitchen every fingerprint shows — a polished finish wants wiping down daily.
