Brescia Imperial

A breccia in the full sense of the word: pale stone clasts of varying size scattered through a dark grey-black matrix, with small crystalline voids and a glitter that catches the light. The pattern is entirely random and has no direction — every part of the slab looks different, and that is the point.

That dense texture is unusually forgiving in daily use: crumbs, water spots and surface scratches simply disappear into it. The leathered finish strengthens the stony feel and drops the shine. It works well in a dark, monochrome kitchen, and equally as a splashback or wall cladding elsewhere.

This stone arrives from the quarry as it is — every slab is one single piece of rock, and no two are ever identical. So we drive out to the supplier's yard with you, choose the actual slab there, and mark the layout on it before it is cut.

Natural stone is porous: the slab is sealed before delivery, and resealing every year or two keeps oil, wine and coffee from soaking in. Heat does not harm it the way it harms engineered quartz, whose resin scorches.
